Rhythm Master (2)

These are the “rests”. One of the students named them “silent notes” and it is a very good name for these signs. Literally, you take a rest, or be silent for each value of the signs. There are only three cards in this group, and pay good attention to remember their looks, names, and the values.

WHOLE REST – 4 COUNTS

whole rest

HALF REST – 2 COUNTS

half rest

QUARTER REST – 1 COUNT

quarter rest

Have you studied the notes carefully? Now let’s practice the cards with David!

Also, you can practice these rests with the flashcards. Here you go!
